ColdLint
Cold email spam word checker
Paste the email, or the whole sequence, and see the phrases, links, and formatting that spam filters still weigh. The same rules run inside the full ColdLint check.
The verdict shows up here.
Scores run from rules on the server, so the same paste always lands in the same place. Nothing is sent to a model unless you later press Rewrite, and that button stays hidden until a key is configured.
- AI-slop, with a concrete edit for each flagged line
- Spam triggers, links, caps, and broken merge tags
- SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and MX in plain language
What this looks at
A cold email rarely gets filtered for one mild word. It gets filtered when several signals stack: a shortener, three links, a subject in all caps, “act now”, and no way to opt out. This page runs that checklist before the note goes into Instantly, Smartlead, or Apollo.
Link shorteners such as bit.ly and tinyurl hide the destination, so they are flagged on their own. One normal link is fine. Two is a warning. Three or more is treated as high risk. Images in a first touch are called out for the same reason: they add weight and often get stripped.
Length and readability are part of the score. Under 20 words is thin for a first touch. Over 180 words is long for cold email. A missing unsubscribe line is a small note on a short one-to-one email, and a real problem when the copy already sounds like a promotion.

“Free” is included, with “feel free” left alone. The score is the worst step when you paste a sequence. A calm first email does not cancel a third email that says “limited time” and “click here”.
This page is the spam slice of ColdLint. The full check also scores AI-sounding lines and, if you add a domain, looks up SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and MX.
